About Us
The PREDA (People's Recovery, Empowerment and Development Assistance) Foundation is a small but pro-active, charitable, not-for-profit organization working on a national and international level for Human Rights, especially Women's and Children's Rights. Founded in 1974 by Fr Shay Cullen, of the Missionary Society of St Columban, together with Alex Corpus Hermoso and Merle Ramirez.
The Preda Foundation, Inc. is accredited by Philippine Government and has received the following awards and nominations to Preda and Fr Shay Cullen:

We have a website (www.preda.org) where you can learn about the various services for children,
the PREDA residential therapeutic community for abused and exploited children,
the therapy and counseling techniques and the help for Filipino - American
children battling discrimination and racism. The Newsletters give the latest
events.
At this site you will find a lot of information about social conditions in the
Philippines, the PREDA campaigns against child labor, the sexual exploitation of
children, AIDS education and more about PREDA development projects throughout
the Philippines.
