Introduction:

This is not meant to be a page of legalese, but rather a number of simple points that should be made clear. For any queries on items not covered, please, just drop us a line...

Payment:

  • Presently most buyers pay a 50% advance against the Purchase Order and the balance is then paid against shipping documents.
  • Alternatively a 10% down payment and a guaranteed, irrevocable Letter of Credit with bank to bank payment of the balance against documents within 30 days is also acceptable.

Pricing:

  • All prices quoted are for full container shipments. For a loose cargo shipment there is a slight extra charge for the extra cartons, especially in regard to handicraft products.
  • Other requirements such a pallets or plastic coverings will also have additional charges.
  • Food products and handicrafts cannot be shipped together in the one container because of fumigation requirements.

Shipping Agents:

  • The buyer can designate their own broker or shipping agent or request PREDA to recommend an agent.

Transit Insurance:

  • The buyer takes all responsibility for insurance.

Branding and Packaging:

  • Dried fruits are normally purchased in 100 gm. bags. These can be directly printed with the buyer's brand name and logo or they can be plain bags with the buyer's sticker.
  • Stickers of high quality can be printed in the Philippines at low cost, the buyer sends the design on film ready for printing with color samples.
  • Bulk ordering is also possible. The dried fruit products are supplied in 5 kilo bags in cartons. There is a price discount when ordered in this manner.

Shelf Life and Warranty:

  • Fifteen months shelf life is usual for preservative free dried fruits according to a major importer. PREDA however offers six months liability against deterioration because we cannot control the storage conditions once they leave the processing plant.
  • If there is any claim of defective dried fruit within the six months the product must not be destroyed, an independent inspector must be called in and samples sent to PREDA along with laboratory reports. PREDA reserves the right to inspect the cargo.

Delivery Deadlines:

  • PREDA will do everything to accommodate your order on the shipping dates requested. However, due to high demand for dried mangoes, these orders are processed on a "first come, first served" basis.
  • Shipping time to a European port is approximately 30 days. The Buyer must indicate the port of destination in the Purchase Order.
